Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information RetroPlayOnline collects and how it is used.
1. Information we collect
- Server logs: like most websites, our servers may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested URLs to deliver and secure the service.
- Local storage: the in-browser game player may store game save data locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
2. What we do not do
- We do not require accounts or collect personal profiles.
- We do not sell personal information.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use third-party analytics services to understand aggregate usage and improve the site, including Ahrefs Web Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Yandex Metrica. These services may collect standard usage data such as pages visited, referrer, approximate location, and device or browser information.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from their settings. Doing so will not stop you from playing anything here, though it may reset preferences that are stored on your device.
4. Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. Google is one of our third-party vendors, and Google uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to measure ad performance and to serve ads based on your prior visits. We do not control these cookies, and we do not share your name, email address, or any account details with advertisers, because we do not collect them in the first place.
You can control what you see:
- Opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings.
- Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
Where required by law, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.
5. Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not require an account to play anything here. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through our contact form, get in touch and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
Because we do not operate accounts or build user profiles, we hold very little that identifies you. Subject to your local law, you may still ask us to confirm what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may object to or restrict certain processing.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you these rights along with the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, use our contact page.
7. Data retention
Server logs are retained for a limited period as needed for security and operations. Game save data persists in your own browser until you clear it. Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to answer them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes or as new services are introduced. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
